Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Ricardo's World's platform, services, billing portal, and any associated features ("Services"). By creating an account or making use of our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
These Terms are written in English. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and any translation, the English version shall prevail. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our Services.
Acceptance Of Terms
By accessing, registering for, or using Ricardo's World's Services in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These two documents together form the complete agreement between you and Ricardo's World.
You must be at least 16 years of age to use our Services. If you are using our Services on behalf of an organization or company, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms, and references to "you" in these Terms include that entity.
Account Registration & Eligibility
To access certain features of our Services, you must register for an account. When registering, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information as prompted by the registration form. You are responsible for keeping your account information up to date.

You must provide your real, legal name and a valid, personally accessible email address. Where billing or delivery details are required, you must also provide accurate address information. Accounts registered with false or fabricated identities are subject to suspension.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Do not share your password or authentication methods with any other person.

Each individual or organization is permitted to maintain a single account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or gain unfair advantage is a violation of these Terms.

If you suspect your account has been accessed without your authorization, you must notify the owner immediately at ricardo@explorericardo.com.
Subscriptions, Payments & Billing
Some of our Services are offered on a paid subscription basis. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your chosen payment method on the recurring billing cycle selected at checkout.
All payments are processed through Stripe. We do not store your full card details. Only your card type, brand, and last 4 digits may be retained for billing reference purposes.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will receive advance notice of any upcoming renewals.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time unless required by law.
We reserve the right to modify subscription prices. We will notify you at least 30 days before any price change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.
An invoice is generated for every payment and is accessible from your billing portal. Invoices include your billing name, address, applicable VAT, and payment details.
If a payment fails, we will notify you by email and attempt to process the payment again. Persistent payment failures may result in suspension of your subscription until the outstanding balance is resolved.
Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict any other person's use and enjoyment of the Services. The following activities are strictly prohibited.
Attempting to access systems, data, or accounts that you are not authorized to access, including brute-force login attempts, credential stuffing, or any form of hacking.
Using our Services to conduct fraud, process unauthorized payments, submit chargebacks in bad faith, or engage in any other deceptive financial activity.
Uploading, transmitting, or distributing any content that is illegal, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or that violates any applicable law or third-party rights.
Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with our Services in a manner not intended or authorized, including automated form submissions, API abuse, or scraping.
Impersonating another person, organization, or Ricardo's World staff, or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity.
Intentionally disrupting, overloading, or interfering with our Services or infrastructure, including denial-of-service attacks or malware distribution.
Account Suspension & Termination
We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate your account if we determine, at our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms of Service, engaged in fraudulent or abusive activity, or posed a risk to the platform or other users.
If your account is suspended, you will receive written notice to your registered email address where possible. You have the right to appeal any suspension by contacting the owner at ricardo@explorericardo.com. For full details on the suspension and appeal process, please see our Account Status Help Center.
You may also terminate your own account at any time. Upon termination, your access to the Services ceases immediately. Any outstanding invoices or subscription fees remain due and payable.
Account Data Accuracy
You are required to provide accurate and truthful information when creating and maintaining your account. This includes, but is not limited to, your real legal name, a valid email address, a legitimate billing address, and a correct VAT number where applicable.
Providing false, misleading, or fabricated account information is a violation of these Terms and may result in the suspension of your account. We may verify the accuracy of account information at any time. If inaccurate information is discovered, you will be given an opportunity to correct it in accordance with our account correction process, as described in the Account Status Help Center.
Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, trademarks, logos, and materials made available through Ricardo's World's platform are the exclusive property of Ricardo's World or its licensors, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for their intended purpose. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from any part of our platform without our explicit written permission.
Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. Any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by Ricardo's World.
Disclaimers & Limitation Of Liability
Our Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that our Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ricardo's World shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use our Services.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or our Services shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Dutch law.
Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be submitted to us in writing at billing@ricardos-world.com so that we may attempt to resolve the dispute amicably within 30 days. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you may also make use of the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/consumers/.
Changes To These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email to your registered address at least 14 days before the changes take effect, and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of our Services after the effective date of any updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using our Services before the effective date.
